Nellore, in southern coastal Andhra Pradesh, hosts weddings and functions in its function halls, kalyana mandapams and open grounds, and many families also book vendors for events in nearby towns. On this page: tent houses for weddings, receptions, festivals and community gatherings.
Tent houses supply the physical frame of an outdoor event: the pandal or shamiana, seating, flooring, stage and often lighting. Because equipment is hired by the day, availability on popular dates and the condition of the material matter more than the headline rate.

How to choose a tent house in Nellore
- Visit the godown or ask for recent photos of the actual stock; tent fabric, chairs and carpets vary widely in condition.
- Check weather cover. Waterproof roofing and a drainage plan are essential for the monsoon and for sudden showers.
- Confirm fire-safety basics such as extinguisher placement and clear exits, especially with kitchens or lighting nearby.
- Ask about damage and loss terms for chairs, carpets and decor items, and how any deposit is returned.
- Compare vendors on a like-for-like item list rather than a single bundle price.
- Coastal weather can turn quickly; ask for waterproof roofing and a drainage plan for any open-ground set-up.

How do I estimate the tent size for my guest count?
Tell the vendor how many guests will be seated and whether you want a stage, buffet counters or a dance floor. A seated-plus-buffet layout needs more space than seating alone, so the vendor will usually measure the venue and propose a layout.
